The liver is a very important part of the human body. Nowadays, people’s eating habits have become so bad that their negative effects are seen on the liver. It gets greatly affected due to excessive alcohol consumption, street food, junk food, an unhealthy diet and an irregular lifestyle. Due to this, serious diseases like fatty liver disease, liver infection and hepatitis can occur.

If you want your liver to remain strong and healthy, then you have to include some foods in your daily diet. Recently, nutritionist Kavita Devgan shared some foods whose consumption can keep the liver healthy. The nutritionist shared the tips on her official Instagram handle. “7 easy tips for a super strong liver (to do every day),” reads the caption.

1. According to nutritionist Devgan, you do citrus cleansing every day. This means that to keep your liver healthy and strong, squeeze half a lemon in a cup of warm water and drink it every morning as soon as you wake up. This removes toxins from the liver.

2. Include foods rich in protein, choline and glycine in your diet. For this, you can eat eggs, meat, etc.

3. You should consume foods related to the Brassica family. For this, include cruciferous vegetables like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, kale, Brussels sprouts, etc. in your diet. These keep the liver healthy.

4. You can also drink juices prepared from raw vegetables, as they improve liver function. They are effective in removing toxins and waste materials from the body.

5. If you want, you can consume good fats, as they contain essential fatty acids. Eat plenty of cold-pressed vegetables, seed oils, avocado, oily fish like tuna, sardines, salmon, raw nuts, seeds like flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, beans, etc., as they are very healthy for the liver.

6. Include barley grass and alfalfa in your diet. The chlorophyll present in them works as both a liver tonic and a liver cleanser.

7. You can also keep your liver healthy by doing light yoga, deep breathing exercises, and a brisk walk every day. In this way, you can provide oxygen to your blood and liver.
